Running Challenge -3 Miles A Day for 30 Days – Day 13

November 20, 2020.

My pre-run meal – Went with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a small Gatorade Zero.

Yesterday was an average running day. I want to start pushing myself more next week

The weather today was sunny and incredible night to run! 57 F at run time. Going to be a great day.

Did not overeat today pre-run. I want to scale back eating before the run going forward.

Completed my pre-run checklist; light stretching, a power check for the phone and air pods, grabbed my handheld phone carrier. Let’s roll.

New Mile Personal Record Not Happening Tonight

No change in my run course.

It was an awesome night to run. I could take this every single night!

My body felt good during the run. I went back to my older running shoes (Nike Air Max). They have much more cushioning but are significantly heavier.

The pace started out okay and my running got slower with each mile. The wind was not a factor. I was satisfied that I completed the workout. No high expectations today.

No running challenge personal best tonight.

30 day Run Streak Challenge Still Alive

It is Friday night and I knew it was going to be tough to get motivated… but I did.

In order to improve my 3-mile times, I need to incorporate some sprint run as well as longer distances. How to run faster, I understand, but I am more focused on establishing a fitness habit.

I have never attempting monthly running challenges before but I like the discipline.

Again, if you want better times, the long run and the sprint work is the secret sauce. Just not feeling that yet.

Tomorrow I will get my 100 pushups in. Not happening today.

Post-run meal – Nothing.
