Running Challenge -3 Miles A Day for 30 Days – Day 12

November 19, 2020.

My pre-run meal – I ate a lot. Tuna fish sandwich, chips, trail mix, wheat thins, and squeeze cheese. Guess I was starving. Not the running challenge pre-run I would recommend. Some days it just happens.

Yesterday was a tough day dealing with the death of my dog. It is like losing a family member.

The weather today was sunny and just a bit on the chilly side, 46 F at run time.

Felt a little flat today. Probably because I overate and needed a nap.

Completed my pre-run checklist; light stretching, a power check for the phone and air pods, grabbed my handheld phone carrier. Let’s roll.

The weather was perfect for running. The sky was clear and amazing.

3 Miles A Day for 30 Days – Day 12 – Notes:

No change in my run course. Was thinking about changing my course tonight since I hate having the setting sun in my eyes, but I ran just late enough that it wasn’t an issue.

My body felt good felt the run. I am thinking about getting some running shoes. Running gloves, too.

The pace started out slow and got slower with each mile. The wind was not a factor.

Today… no running challenge personal best tonight.

I tried out one of my new compression shirts and love them. Glad I bought (3). As the weather gets colder in the coming weeks, I will definitely need them.

Even though I haven’t reached the halfway point of this fitness test, I am starting to think about what’s next.

The 3 miles / 30 days is a good first running challenge for beginners, I think 5 or 6 miles a day for 30 days would be fun.

Time will tell.

No pushups today.

Post-run meal – Undecided.
